Opel are looking to the past for the future by reviving the spirit of the original Manta for a restomod but this time using all electric propulsion. Using its full title, the Opel Manta GSe ElektroMOD, the restomod will take a number of design ques from its ancestor. Some updates to the design would include LED headlights with the company’s latest Vizor front-end design language first seen in the Mokka and now also on Opel’s Crossland and next gen Astra.
Hopefully Opel will, in paying tribute to the original Manta, will use the electric motor to power the rear wheels. The all-electric Manta GSe ElektroMOD will have a digital cockpit, and looks to be as sporty as the original Opel GSe.
