The new ID.7 is marketed as an upmarket luxury saloon with up to 700 kms range for the top of the line versions. Powered by a 201 HP electric motor and 77 kWh battery should make it swift and comfortable on motorway cruises. It’s the brands sixth fully electric vehicle and ont that’s based on VW’s modular electric drive matrix (MEB) dedicated EV platform. VW claims it has increased power, efficiency & distance capabilities.
Volkswagen continues to use recycled materials on the interior, including fabrics based on recycled bottles & other plastics. The heated & cooled seats are 14-way adjustable for greater comfort. There are even heat and moisture sensors in the seats which recognise the need to turn on based on the temperature, they’ll either heat or cool.
The centrepiece of the new Volkswagen ID7’s interior is the huge 15.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system sticking out of the dashboard. all the major controls are incorporated into the screen, including the heating and air conditioning.
