Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV

The Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV is officially the first electric Maybach. Based on the platform and powertrain configuration from the Mercedes, a range of around 600 kms is possible.

Competing against Bentley and Rolls-Royce, the Maybach is positioned as their bespoke luxury electric 4×4. Powering the Maybach are two electric motors with a combined output of 650bhp and 700lb ft. of torque.

Even though structurally, it’s based on the EQS, the Maybach will have a blanked-off, black-panel space at the front. They continue the Maybach tradition of using the brand’s signature two-tone paint finish in obsidian black metallic and zircon red metallic using a fine pinstripe as a chrome dividing line. There are more chrome covered surfaces with the air intakes and diffuser at the front and rear, the side windows and the B-pillars which have been finished with the brands emblem pattern. The Maybach “M” can also be found on the D-pillar.

there’s also the pronounced wheel wells with cladding in high-gloss black, 24” wheels and a chrome rear spoiler. The electric powertrain is highlighted (by a low front end that incorporates the dramatic proportions.

With a starting price well into six-figures, the Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV offers just about every luxury to the buyer. The rear space can either be a comfortable place to work or rest with its Executive seats and the Chauffeur package. There are new door panels with armrests designed like high-quality sideboards. There is piano lacquer trim with materials in deep-sea blue reflecting the environment similar to a yacht. The two generous individual seats should cosset their passengers (inspired by the S-Class) – as well as the High-End Rear Seat Entertainment System providing hours of distraction when necessary.
