Opel are adding a little more Mokka to your life

Opel’s Mokka gets a radical new look, with a sportier outline it has smaller front and rear overhangs, and the wheelbase has been extended slightly. It’s been nicely influenced by the Opel GT X concept and takes influence from the ultra-slim LED daytime running lights and prominent grille.

The back end is more conventional with a crease leading out from the rear door adding more muscle on top of the wheelarches.

Following the Corsa on the CMP platform the Mokka shares it’s chassis architecture with a range of products from Peugeot and Citroen. The diversification of powertrains on the CMP platform means that the Mokka will be available with a choice of petrol, diesel and electric.

The Mokka e will be powered by a 100 kW (136 hp) battery with 260 Newton metres of maximum torque. A 100 kW DC fast-charger fills 80% of the battery in 30 minutes. The Mokka-e estimates a range of up to 322 kilometres.

Opel plans to have the Mokka on sale from late summer 2020.
