NEW EQA – Next step in Mercedes-Benz EV Models

Mercedes new EQA will be the entry level model to the all-electric world of Mercedes-EQ vehicles. 

Prices won’t be available until March, when the EQA launches.

The EQA 250 will be styled as an SUV similar to the existing GLA, it’s their first EV (in the EQ range) to compete in the compact car segment. It will have 140 kW power, a combined consumption of 15.7  kWh/100 km, and a range of 426 km with zero emissions. It’s possible that all-wheel-drive will be added with an output of 200 kW.

Mercedes has also kept the excellent MBUX User Experience infotainment system. Standard user features include high-performance headlamps with Adaptive Highbeam Assist,  electrically operated opening and closing tailgate, light 18-inch alloys, 64-colour ambient  lighting, luxury seats with adjustable lumbar support, double cup holder, reversing camera and  leather sports steering wheel. Occupants protection includes driver and  front passenger airbags, driver’s knee bag, and first and second row window bags. Front side  airbags are also standard.

The intelligent navigation system helps drivers calculate the fastest route allowing for charging times and  factors such as hills, weather, traffic and driving style.  

A fuel efficient design gives a 0.28 Cd , using efficient front and rear aprons, an almost fully enclosed underbody, aerodynamic wheels, a closed cooling air control system, and front and rear wheel spoilers.
