This is BMW’s most powerful production car to date, the M5 gets facelift and CS upgrade.
Power is provided by a 4.4-litre V8 engine with BMW M TwinPower Turbo technology that develops 635hp – 10hp more than the M5 Competition. The 0-100km/h time is supercar fast at 3.0 seconds.
Prices in Ireland will start at €241,415 with deliveries beginning this spring.
As standard the CS comes with carbon-ceramic brakes and an active quad-exit exhaust fitted as standard. Differences over the M5 Competition upgrades include gold trim accents & new LEDs continuing the gold theme through to the side lamps. Weight savings amount to 70kgs using carbon fiber throughout including the extremely stylish lightweight carbon-fibre front seats.
With the ability to vary the distribution of power from forward to aft, all four wheels are powered via the eight-speed automatic gearbox. All of the power can be switched to the rear for those who deem themselves talented enough.
