As Volvo continues to increase sales of electric and Recharge models, it has decided to partner with Cork based charging company Ohm.
Ohme’s Home Pro charger will be in Volvo showrooms for customers to see in person and get more information on home charging systems.

The Ohme chargers can adjust an EV’s charging to help take advantage of off-peak tariffs. Ohme give an example of charging a 78kWh Volvo C40 Twin Pure Electric from zero to 100 % with on an off-peak tariff e.g. SSE Airtricity’s Night Boost with a cost of €8.23 for a battery with 451kms of range. Over the course of a year and 10,000kms of driving that would equate to running costs of just €183.

Ohme also offers drivers the option to charge their car when renewable energy generation is at its highest, further lowering their CO2 impact. Ohme already works with a number of other partners across Ireland including the AA, Donegal County Council and Iarnród Éireann.
