New Audi Q8 e-tron | Industry News

Due to arrive in Irish Audi dealerships in spring 2023, the New Audi Q8 e-tron will have improved efficiency, more range, changes in the exterior design with a fresh face and improved driving dynamics. The Q8 e-tron will have an increased range of up to 582 kilometres in the SUV and up to 600 kilometres in the Sportback.

There will be three drivetrain variants and electric all-wheel drive available. With a starting price from €86,400 the base model Q8 50 e-tron and the Q8 50 Sportback e-tron, both with two motors, generate 664 Nm of torque and 250 kW in boost mode. A range of up to 491 kms (SUV) and up to 505 km (Sportback) should be possible. The Q8 50 e-tron should fully charge in just over nine hours at 11 kW or over four hours at 22 kW. The big battery can complete the charge in 11 hours and 30 minutes at 11 kW and six hours at 22 kW.

Next up are the Q8 55 e-tron and Q8 55 Sportback generating 300 kW in boost mode and 664 Nm of torque. A range of between 582 km for the SUV and up to 600 km for the Sportback will more than likely be reached judging by previous generations of batteries ability to hold their charge.

Finally, the high-end Audi SQ8 e-tron and SQ8 Sportback e-tron will be powered by three motors as opposed to the two motors of the lower specs. Boost reaches 370 kW and 973 Nm of torque. Range is up to 494 km for the SUV and up to 513 km for the Sportback.

The Q8 e-tron uses the standard Audi virtual cockpit with full HD resolution and the MMI interface. There are two big high-res displays, a 10.1-inch diagonal and an 8.6-inch diagonal, which Audi uses to replace the majority of switches and knobs. They’ve also remembered to include Voice Control, just in case.

Audi hopes the first models to arrive here will be in time for early spring 2023. The new Audi Q8 is available to order starting in mid-November this year.
