LZ Drift Festival at Mondello Park | Events

The first European LZ Festival will be held this weekend (Sept 3rd and 4th) at Mondello Park. Anticipated to be one of the biggest Drift Events held in Europe, a huge list of legendary names from the Drifting world, will be in Ireland this weekend for what is

Hosted by the Driftgames crew and featuring Adam LZ, American automotive YouTuber, he’s a Formula Drift racer as well as former competitive BMX rider, will also be featuring Jimmy Oakes, TJ Hunt, Ryan Meyer and Collette Davis.

The incredible European line-up features Drift Masters European Champion James Deane, Driftworks Phil Morrison, Becky Evans, Baggsy, Martin Richards and Tess Whittock, Low Origin & Nightride, Axel Hildebrande, Sultan Al Qasami from the UAE, Australian Luke Fink. Representing the Irish will be brothers Jack & Conor Shanahan and D-MAC. 

‘It’s incredible that Mondello Park and Drift Games will be hosting some of the biggest names from the Drifting world from the US, Europe, the Middle East and Australia, the demand is  for this event is so high, we will have record attendance this weekend, with over 20,000 people anticipated ’ said Managing Director of Mondello Park, Roddy Greene.

There’ll be plenty of action and over 500 Showcars from across Europe will be in attendance including a Nissan PS13, Nissan S15, Toyota AE86, a GT1 inspired V12 Lamborghini Murcielago, a Nissan Navara pick-up with full Nissan R35 GT-R all wheel drive system and an engine producing 1,200BHP. 

On Saturday it all kicks off early with driver practices, followed by meet and greets, driver superlaps, parades and car reveals. Then to the Drift King of Ireland Battle and onto the much anticipated LZ Festival Top 32 Battles on Sunday, with many competitors going head to head for the first time on Sunday.  As usual there will be trade and merch stands for anyone wanting to pick up a few bits while there.

Single entry day tickets cost €30 for adults and children over 8 years old, for children up to 7 years old tickets are €10.
