Opel’s International Van of the Year 2021, the Vivaro-e reaches Ireland.

The Vivaro-e van has an WLTP range of up to 330km and is priced from €36,895 (€29,834 ex-VAT) plus delivery related charges. Business grants of up to €3,800 are also available. The Vivaro-e van has a payload of up to 1,226kg and maximum vehicle weight of 3,100kg. Best of all it has a towing capacity of up to 1 tonne.

The lithium ion battery is positioned under the load area lowers the centre of gravity, making for a much improved van driving experience. Two battery choices are available with either a 50kWh or 75kWh battery.  The 75kWh battery has a range of up to 330 kilometres and the 50kWh battery gives up to 230km. The speed limiter is also set to 130km/h in order to help preserve range.

Opel Vivaro-e

If you’re lucky enough to have access to a 100 kW DC public charging station, the 50kWh battery charges to 80% in only 30 minutes, and the 75kW battery should be a 45 minute wait. The battery is covered by an eight year / 160,000km guarantee for up to 70% retention and is certified by Opel.

Available in two trims, starting with the Edition which includes 6-way adjustable driver seat, passenger bench seat with storage, laminated windscreen, bulkhead, 2 side sliding doors, ESP, hill assist, Bluetooth, USB connectivity, 180° opening solid rear doors, cruise control and speed limiter, a spare wheel and daytime running lights. It will have DAB radio but unfortunately you’ll only be able to use this on the continent as the service is ceasing operation in Ireland.

The Sportive trim starts at €38,895 and adds body coloured front bumper / mirrors / door handles / side protection moulding, front fog lamps and also LED daytime running lights.
