A mini won the very first race held at Mondello back in 1968. This weekend was a superb display of Classic Cars & Motorbikes showing the eclectic history of the race track. The annual Historic Festival is a great way to celebrate Ireland’s Motorsport history.
The festival payed tribute to 60 years of MINI which included Classic MINI Racing and many enthusiasts showing off their prized Mini collections.
The festival also showcased the Future Classics, Classic Bikes, Retro F1 demonstrations, HRCA (Historic Racing Association Ireland), Classic Bike Racing and many racing displays.
Walking alongside the track reveals so many loved Classic Cars and Motorcycles. The Mondello Park Museum of Motorsport unique collection of rare machinery and some of the private collection from Martin Birrane.
